I come from a family of very devout, praying
people. That idea of peace and love toward humanity shouldn't be nationalistic
or denominational. It should be a chief concern for all mankind.
To be quite honest, John Lennon had
questionable politics. There was a flip side. He was all peace and love, but he
was a very violent character.
Bob Marley stood for universal peace and love.
He tried to break racial barriers.
Dad could talk about peace and love out loud to
the world, but he could never show it to the people who supposedly meant the
most to him: his wife and son. How can you talk about peace and love and have a
family in bits and pieces - no communication, adultery, divorce? You can't do
it, not if you're being true and honest with yourself.
Every human longs for peace and love.
Nothing is wrong with peace and love. It is all
the more regrettable that so many of Christ's followers seem to disagree. .
A babe in the house is a well-spring of
pleasure, a messenger of peace and love, a resting place for innocence on
earth, a link between angels and men.
The hippies wanted peace and love. We wanted
Ferraris, blondes and switchblades.
I'm just an old hippie. You know, peace and
love.
I am poor and naked, but I am the chief of the
nation. We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right.
Riches would do us no good. We could not take them with us to the other world.
We do not want riches. We want peace and love.
I just can't seem to write songs about peace
and love. Yeah right, how do you get that?
