Thank you.
We are Indians,
firstly and lastly.
The Indians were well mounted and felt proud and elated because they had been made United States soldiers.
When I was a kid growing up in Cleveland, I believed - completely, wholeheartedly, without reservation or pause - that the Cleveland Indians were named to honor a Native American ballplayer named Louis Sockalexis, who played for Cleveland in the late 19th Century.
I think it's time that we have a women's show about the West. The concentration has been on the men and the Indians.
You stick your head above the crowd and attract attention and sometimes somebody will throw a rock at you. That's the territory. You buy the land, you get the Indians.
'Indian policy' has now been brought down upon the American people, and the American people are the new Indians of the 21st Century.
It affords me sincere pleasure to be able to apprise you of the entire removal of the Cherokee Nation of Indians to their new homes west of the Mississippi.
I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.
At least the Pilgrim Fathers used to shoot Indians: the Pilgrim Children merely punch time clocks.
In camp was found a book, the first of the kind I had ever seen, in which I was made a great hero, slaying Indians by the hundreds.
